Program
Coordinators: Manuel Silveira Ramos and Sérgio Mah.The Advanced Course in Photography is oriented towards photographic production as a means of artistic and applied representation. It offers an advanced formation in both practical and theoretical terms by promoting the development of individual projects and considering their conceptual, aesthetic and technical aspects.
The programme favours 3 fundamental areas of development: an author’s practice having the photographic domain as its reference; experimental exercises within the context of significant typologies of photographic culture; and finally, the critical reflection about relevant questions in the general panorama of modern and contemporary photography and their connections to other forms of image practice.
Students will have free access to installations and equipments, as well as to the services of other departments, within the scope of their project and according to set rules.
Full-time availability for class participation and studio work in a free schedule is assumed.
