Every year Ar.Co awards a limited number of scholarships, sponsored by companies and private entities. Application for these scholarships is open to all students eligible to attend the 3rd Level of Painting, Drawing, Illustration/Comics, Sculpture, Jewellery, Ceramics, Cinema/Movement Image, the 4th Level of Graphic Design, the Advanced Course in Visual Arts, the Advanced Course in Photography or an Individual Project programme.

The scholarships will be awarded by a jury composed by one member of the Board of Directors of Ar.Co, one person from the Ministry of Culture, and the Head of the Department where the applicant studied last.

Applicants must present a portfolio of their work (Director’s Office, Lisbon) until October 22nd of the year the scholarship refers to. At the end of the school year, students who were awarded scholarships may participate in the Degree Show Exhibition.

These programmes are acknowledged as “of superior cultural interest” by the Ministry of Culture.
